Liquid resistance
The sample demonstrates water beading rather than immediately soaking in. Blot spills promptly; do not leave liquid sitting on your sofa.

The Couchery material guide
Find your fabric.
Feel at home.
A sofa should suit the way you live. Discover our easy-care Diamond fabric, then compare colours and textures with samples in your own home.
Performance Diamond · supplier demonstration
Everyday spills.
A little less worry.
Liquid- and stain-resistant fabric is a practical option for busy living rooms. In this supplier video, you can see water beading on the surface, a spill being wiped away and a surface-scraping demonstration.
Choose a chapter to see it for yourself.
This is a supplier demonstration on one Diamond sample, not an independent laboratory test. Results depend on the liquid, contact time, finish and care. Resistance does not mean waterproof or stain-proof.
Supplier footage with English titles and Couchery branding. Normal playback speed. Select a chapter or use the video controls.
Blue Sky · a second supplier demonstration
Water on fabric.
Goldfish included.
The supplier folds a Blue Sky fabric sample to hold water—with goldfish swimming above the fabric. The same clip also shows a spill being wiped away and a surface-scraping demonstration.
See the water-holding effect for yourself, then explore the other moments.
Blue Sky and Diamond are separate supplier collections. This footage demonstrates one sample under staged conditions; it is not a waterproof rating for a finished sofa. Ask us to confirm Blue Sky availability, colours and suitability for your chosen model.

Designed around daily life
What does “easy-care” actually mean?
More time to react to a spill. A surface you can spot-clean. The comfort and texture you choose—not a removable slipcover.
Spot-clean in place
A practical option for occasional drinks and everyday mess. The video shows one spill being wiped away; it does not mean every stain will come out.
Fixed upholstery
Fabric covers on our custom sofas are fitted to the frame. They cannot be removed and machine-washed. Easy-care describes surface cleaning.
Diamond is an option, not a promise about every fabric. Confirm the exact material and colour offered for your sofa before ordering. Leather, chenille and other fabrics have their own care requirements.
Choose for your home
What matters most to you?
Start with Performance Diamond.
If drinks, visitors and small accidents are part of daily life, liquid and stain resistance can make routine care more manageable. Keep a clean cloth handy and deal with spills quickly.
Think beyond a “pet-friendly” label.
Consider your pet’s habits, the weave and how easily hair can be removed. The supplier shows a surface-scraping demonstration, but fabric is not claw-proof. Ask us to confirm the best available finish for your sofa and request a swatch first.
Tell us about your pet →Let a real sample make the decision.
Compare texture, softness and colour next to your flooring and furniture. Check it in daytime and evening light. A screen cannot show the exact feel or colour in your room.
Build your sample pack →Care, made clear
Blot promptly. Clean gently.
Fixed upholstery stays on the sofa. Always follow the care instructions for your exact material and test an inconspicuous area first.
Blot the spill
Use a clean, absorbent cloth to lift liquid promptly. Avoid vigorous rubbing, which can spread a mark or affect the surface.
Follow the finish’s care guide
Do not soak the upholstery or apply an unapproved cleaner. Ask us for the care instructions for your chosen material.
Keep the cover in place
Do not remove or machine-wash the fitted fabric cover. For a stubborn mark, seek material-specific advice or a professional upholstery cleaner.
Before you choose
A few useful answers.
Is Diamond fabric waterproof or stain-proof?
No. We describe it as liquid- and stain-resistant. The supplier video shows behaviour on a sample under demonstration conditions. Seams, prolonged contact, certain liquids and wear can affect the outcome. Clean spills promptly.
Can I remove the sofa’s fabric cover and put it in the washing machine?
No. Fabric upholstery on our custom sofas is fitted to the frame, not a removable machine-washable slipcover. Spot-clean according to the instructions for the exact material.
Is the fabric safe from pet claws?
No fabric is guaranteed claw-proof. The scraping demonstration is not a pet-claw test or a certified abrasion rating. Ask us to recommend a material for your pet’s habits, and inspect a physical swatch before choosing.
Can I choose Diamond for any sofa?
Availability depends on the model, configuration and colour. Use the compatible-sofa filter below, then ask us to confirm your exact combination before placing a furniture order.
What is included in the US$40 sample pack?
Choose 1–5 fabric or leather swatches in one fixed-price pack, with free worldwide delivery. Packs are final sale and the fee is not credited against a later sofa purchase. Contact us if your samples arrive incorrect or damaged. Read the sample pack terms.
