Frequently asked questions

How long does it take for the Cloud L-shape sofa to fully expand after unboxing?

The sofa may take up to around 72 hours to reach its full loft after unboxing. When you receive it, simply unbox each section and gently tap to help revive the springiness. No tools or assembly are required—the compressed-foam sections will gradually expand to their intended depth and comfort.

Can I wash the covers on the Cloud L-shape sofa?

Yes, the beige chenille covers are removable and washable. They feature zippers that allow you to unzip, clean, and refresh the covers to keep the sofa looking its best. Follow the care-label instructions when washing. Between deep cleans, you can vacuum gently and spot-clean spills with a mild, water-based cleaner.

Can the chaise be positioned on either side of the sofa?

Yes, the chaise is reversible and can be set on either the left or right side of the sectional. This modular design allows you to configure the L-shape to suit your room layout and personal preference.

What is the seating depth and back support like on this sectional?

The Cloud L-shape features extra-deep seats with a frameless, compressed-foam build and tall pillow backs. This boneless construction provides cloud-like, sink-in support from head to thigh, designed for comfortable lounging, hosting, and relaxing. The pillow backs offer supportive vertical cushioning for extended sitting.

How should I care for the beige chenille fabric between cleanings?

Between cover washes, vacuum the sofa gently and spot-clean any spills with a mild, water-based cleaner. Fluff the cushions regularly to maintain their loft and keep the sofa out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the beige chenille color. The sofa is best suited to light-to-moderate everyday use.

Is this a good cloud couch alternative?

Yes, if you want the deep, sink-in feel of a cloud couch in an L-shape. It has a boneless, frameless compressed-foam build, 29.59" deep seats, tall pillow backs and a reversible chaise, for $998 from US stock. To compare other Cloud-style shapes (deep-seat, curved, U-shaped), see our modular sofas and the cloud couch alternatives guide.

Is it a sofa in a box?

Yes. It ships compressed, with no tools or assembly, and lofts to full size within about 72 hours. It is part of our US-stock range, so it ships free from our US warehouse and goes to US addresses only. If you need delivery outside the US, our sofa-in-a-box range ships free worldwide in under 2 weeks.

Is it pet-friendly?

Partly. The zip-off covers can be washed, which helps with fur and accidents. But the chenille is not sold as scratch-resistant, and the sofa is best for light-to-moderate everyday use. If your pets scratch, look at our pet-friendly couches, which include made-to-order sofas in pet scratch-resistant performance fabric.

How much room does it need?

Plan for about 103" along the main wall and about 70" along the chaise side (the chaise return is 69.69"). The main section is 39.37" deep and the chaise is 37.8" deep. The chaise can go on the left or the right, so measure the side you want it on.

Will it fit through my door, hallway or elevator?

Yes. It ships compressed, in boxes sized for standard doorways, hallways and elevators, and has no frame to wrestle around corners. You unbox it in the room and it lofts up to full size (up to about 72 hours). Not sure about a tight turn or stairwell? See our Will it fit? delivery guide.

When will it arrive, and does it ship outside the US?

This sofa is US stock: it ships free from our US warehouse, usually the next business day, and arrives in 2–7 business days. It ships to US addresses only.

Can I return it?

Yes. We accept returns within 14 days of delivery on unopened items in original condition. Email hello@couchery.com to start a return.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. Where Afterpay is available you can split the price into 4 interest-free payments; the amount shows under the price. All payment methods are listed on our Payment Options page.
